Study of Neutrino Oscillations in the NOvA Experiment

NOvA is a neutrino experiment deployed at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (FNAL, USA) and designed for studying oscillations—namely, the appearance of electron neutrinos survival muon neutrinos. Two detectors, near far one, are separated by distance 810 km positioned an angle 14 mrad with respect to axis beam from NuMI accelerator complex. This configuration provides optimum relationship between energy oscillations. The aimed measuring mass hierarchy, determining phase $$CP$$ violation in lepton sector, refining value parameters $$\theta_{23}$$ $$\Delta m^{2}_{32}$$ , as well performing some other tasks. results analysis performed jointly $$8.85\times 10^{20}$$ proton-on-target (POT) $$12.33\times POT antineutrino beams discussed. Also, further prospects outlined.
